Many residential communities governed by a Homeowners Association (HOA) have rules that restrict or prohibit short-term rentals. HOA restrictions can include minimum rental periods (e.g., no rentals under 30 days), caps on the number of rental days per year, guest registration requirements, and outright bans on STR activity.
